Factories, motor transport undertakings, and shops, establishments, societies and trusts employing 20 or more people (Government establishments other than factories are not covered). An employee is anyone who worked 30 days in 12 months.
Not covered
Managerial staff, supervisors drawing more than ₹1,600 a month, apprentices and part-time workers.
