The Labour Welfare Fund in Telangana is a small contribution from employees and employers to the Telangana Labour Welfare Board, which runs welfare schemes for workers. Here is how much, how often, and who it covers.

Who it covers
Factories, motor transport undertakings, and shops, establishments, societies and trusts employing 20 or more people (Government establishments other than factories are not covered). An employee is anyone who worked 30 days in 12 months.
Not covered: Managerial staff, supervisors drawing more than ₹1,600 a month, apprentices and part-time workers.

- The fund is set up under the Telangana Labour Welfare Fund Act, 1987.
